I was born and raised near Chicago, Illinois. At university, I studied psychology and anthropology and took a great interest in alternative ways to treat the mind and body without consistently needing to resort to pharmaceutical drugs after I was diagnosed with GAD (General Anxiety Disorder).

I moved to London in 2003 and shortly after arriving, I had some sessions with a hypnotherapist that brought my levels of anxiety down to a manageable level in a way that I was unable to do myself previously.
